Baseball Preview: Kearsley Hornets vs. Goodrich Martians

Kearsley hasn't had much luck against Goodrich recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Hornets will head out to face off against the Martians at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Kearsley let Imlay City stack four runs on them in the sixth inning on Tuesday but luckily Kearsley prevailed anyway. The Hornets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Spartans, sneaking past 6-5.

Chase Tobias was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Kearsley is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise. Tobias was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Aiden Tipton and Keegan Roesner did most of the damage at the plate: Tipton went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Roesner went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
