Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Covenant Classical walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Ovilla Christian Eagles 96-61. The Cavaliers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Noah Keyes threw for 368 yards and five TDs while completing 73.3% of his passes. Howard Wade was his top target, picking up 143 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground, Johnny Wade rushed for 173 yards and four scores on only 15 carries.

The victory was the third in a row for Covenant Classical, bringing their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points over those games. As for Ovilla Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Covenant Classical will challenge Heritage Christian on Friday. The Cavaliers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Ovilla Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
