Basketball Recap: Harrisonburg Comes Up Short

Harrisonburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Buckeye Panthers 73-18. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Panthers are ranked 98th).

Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Buckeye, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Harrisonburg will venture away from home to take on Dodson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrisonburg is facing Dodson at the right time seeing as Dodson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Buckeye, they will be playing at home against Leesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
