Softball Recap: Timberland's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Timberland dropped their record down to 8-8 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost 11-1 to the James Island Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wolves have suffered since March 19th.

Timberland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bristol Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

As for James Island, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 24th (when they won 16-2).

On James Island's side, Kendall Wharton was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Wharton a new career-high. Rachel Manchester also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberland will welcome Charleston Math & Science at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for James Island, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashley Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
