Football Recap: Dothan Starts off Right with Win over Chiles + How To Watch

Dothan took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on the Chiles Timberwolves with a sharp 42-17 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 23rd in Alabama, while the Timberwolves are ranked 138th in Florida).

Aj Alexander had a dynamite game, rushing for 40 yards and two scores. Sirlathian Meadows was another key back, rushing for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Despite the defeat, Chiles had strong showings from Jeremiah Cadet, who rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Gerald Clark, who rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Dothan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 37-34 victory against Monroe on the 28th. As for Chiles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-7 win against Pelham on the 29th.
