Football Recap: Dothan Starts off Right with Win over Chiles + How To Watch

Dothan gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the Chiles Timberwolves with a sharp 42-17 victory. The Wolves pushed the score to 42-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Timberwolves cut but never quite recovered from.

Aj Alexander had a dynamite game, rushing for 40 yards and two scores. Another back making a difference was Sirlathian Meadows, who rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown.

Jeremiah Cadet and Gerald Clark certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Cadet rushed for 71 yards and one TD on only eight carries, while Clark rushed for 80 yards and one score.

Dothan and Chiles should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Wolves will take on Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (19 vs. 186). Meanwhile, Chiles (ranked 143rd) will meet Pelham (ranked 312th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
