Softball Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pigeon Forge last Monday, Eagleton College & Career Academy came back down to earth. The Royals came up short against the Oliver Springs Bobcats on Tuesday, falling 13-3. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Eagleton College & Career Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyla Long, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

With the defeat, Eagleton College & Career Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-11-1. As for Oliver Springs, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagleton College & Career Academy will challenge Oneida at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oliver Springs, they will take on Karns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
