Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hopewell). They came out on top against the Central Cabarrus Vikings by a score of 75-63 on Tuesday.

Central Cabarrus' loss came despite strong showings from Parker Watkins and Duron Vaughn. Watkins shot 62% from the field on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Vaughn went 8-for-12 en route to 18 points. Watkins' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Kendrick Watkins was another key player, putting up nine points.

Hopewell now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Central Cabarrus, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hopewell will host J.H. Rose at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Central Cabarrus, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dorman at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
