Regis Jesuit had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eaglecrest Raptors 3-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Raptors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Regis Jesuit was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-97), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-22, 11-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.

Mila Schneller paced Regis Jesuit's offense, picking up nine kills. Schneller got some help from Lucy Tricco and her 14 assists. Tricco was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why Eaglecrest lost on Thursday, don't look at Ella Mack. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and four aces.
