Regis Jesuit had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eaglecrest Raptors. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Raptors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Regis Jesuit got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 11-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11.
Despite the loss, Eaglecrest still got an impressive performance from Ella Mack, who had 12 digs and four aces.
Coming up, Regis Jesuit will challenge Columbine at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eaglecrest, they will take on ThunderRidge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
