Dynamic duo of Marco Martinez and Christopher Smith lead Erie to victory

Recap: Erie Tigers vs. Northglenn Norsemen

The Erie Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Northglenn 72-58. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Erie.

Erie was led to victory by Marco Martinez and Christopher Smith. Martinez scored 17 points, while Smith dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Martinez scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Haan, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Several Norsemen players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Uriah Duran, who scored nine points along with six steals and five assists. Duran hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Dean, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

Erie is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Northglenn, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Erie will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rocky Mountain's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. As for Northglenn, they will head out on the road to square off against Broomfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
