Recap: Escambia County Blue Devils vs. Satsuma Gators
The Escambia County Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Satsuma 67-27 on the road. That 67-27 margin sets a new team best for Escambia County this season.
Cleo Bolar jr. was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with seven steals and six assists. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Michael French was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
The victory (which was Escambia County's third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Satsuma, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escambia County will face off against T.R. Miller at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Satsuma, they will head out on the road to face off against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Jackson's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Satsuma has been banged up by 17 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
