Basketball Recap: Eastern Guilford Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Eastern Guilford won the last time they faced Southern Guilford and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eastern Guilford Wildcats walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Southern Guilford Storm.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Courtney Griffith, who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Griffith has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlee Slaughter, who earned ten points and five steals.

Eastern Guilford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-9 record this season. As for Southern Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Eastern Guilford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-39 win against Atkins on the 15th. As for Southern Guilford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-36 loss against Dudley on the 15th.
