Sadly, Perris is still looking for their first win of the season after 19 contests. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 14-5 walloping at the hands of the Citrus Hill Hawks on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Perris of the 17-13 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March.

Natalie Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Valeria Blancarte, who went 2-for-2 with a stolen base and a double.

Perris will head out on the road to challenge Temecula Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Temecula Prep is coming into the matchup with four straight wins at home, so Perris will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Citrus Hill will take on Liberty at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.
