Volleyball Recap: Effingham County Takes a Loss

Effingham County lost against Richmond Hill back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rebels fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16.

Effingham County's offense was headlined by Mattie Zettler and Ka'Meil Bates, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Brynley Jordan and her six assists.

Effingham County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Richmond Hill, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Effingham County will venture away from home to face off against May River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond Hill, they will host Tift County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
