Basketball Recap: Rawlins County Falls Despite Big Games from Luke Sis and Tru Dewey

Rawlins County was the 56-45 winner over Ness City when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rawlins County Buffaloes fell 61-53 to the Ness City Eagles on Friday. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rawlins County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tru Dewey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 19 rebounds, and Luke Sis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards. Dewey has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Shaun Lare, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Rawlins County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.
