Football Game Preview: Skyline Hawks vs. Meridian Mustangs + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Zayden Burks and Duke Dawson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Skyline Hawks will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Meridian Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Skyline is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Skyline and Brentsville District, and Skyline kept the tradition alive. The Hawks came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 28-21 on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Meridian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Warren County, posting a 56-14 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won four matchups by more than 31 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Meridian back to even at 4-4. As for Skyline, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Skyline was able to grind out a solid win over Meridian when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 27-15. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
