Soccer Recap: Ooltewah Takes a Loss

Ooltewah came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-0 to the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks. While losing is never fun, Ooltewah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Hardin Valley Academy are ranked tenth).

Ooltewah's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2-3 record this season.

Ooltewah will venture away from home to challenge Rhea County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ooltewah are facing Rhea County at the right time seeing as Rhea County are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they will host Greeneville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
