Recap: Niobrara County Tigers vs. Southeast Cyclones
The Niobrara County Tigers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Southeast 71-40 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Niobrara County has posted since December 16, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Southeast saw an underclassman step up: TJ Moats scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Moats has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played.
Niobrara County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Southeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Niobrara County will be playing at home against Pine Bluffs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast, they will head out on the road to challenge Encampment at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Encampment is ranked 41st, while Southeast is ranked 40th).
