Basketball Recap: West Platte Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Holt on Monday, West Platte came back down to earth. The Bluejays took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savannah Savages on Tuesday. The Bluejays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Savages apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

West Platte's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Savannah, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Platte will take on Mid-Buchanan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Savannah, they will face off against Gallatin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
