Baseball Recap: Harbor Light Christian Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harbor Light Christian). They blew past the North Michigan Christian Academy Comets 18-2 on Monday. Winning may never get old, but the Swordsmen sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Vaughn Henagan was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Cope, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Harbor Light Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Harbor Light Christian pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for North Michigan Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
