Meanwhile, a victory for Brookland-Cayce just wasn't in the cards on Tuesday as the squad wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They took a blow against River Bluff, falling 67-29. The Bearcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caylynn Whipple, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Etheredge, who earned eight points.
Edisto was dealt a bruising 62-35 loss at the hands of Brookland-Cayce in their previous meeting back in February of 2018.
