Softball Recap: Tartan Comes Up Short

Tartan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hastings Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since May 1, 2024.

River Ambourn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season.

Tartan's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Hastings, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tartan will take on North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hastings, they will head out to challenge Two Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
