Basketball Recap: Big Sandy Comes Up Short

Big Sandy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-16 loss at the hands of the Union Grove Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-14 on January 3rd.

Big Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Union Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Big Sandy will be playing at home against Hawkins at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Union Grove, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Union Grove Lions challenge the Linden-Kildare Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
