Hartfield Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins 19-3. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 7-0 victory last Thursday.

Woods Roberson looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Graham Jackson was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with five RBI and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Kolton Killough also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hartfield Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Hartfield Academy pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
