Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Choctaw Central

While Choctaw Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Petal Panthers on Saturday. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2022.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Choctaw Central took both sets by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0.

Choctaw Central pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Petal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Choctaw Central and Petal will both be playing Hartfield Academy the next time they take the court. The Panthers will host the Hawks at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
