Basketball Recap: Ava Robbennolt Key Part of a Team Effort in Cougars Win

Bloomington North won the last time they faced Terre Haute North Vigo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bloomington North Cougars walked away with a 56-48 victory over the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Bloomington North's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Robbennolt led the charge by putting up 20 points. What's more, Robbennolt also posted a 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Audrey Burton, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, Terre Haute North Vigo still got an impressive performance from Zanariae White, who went 11 of 21 on her way to 24 points along with five boards and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, White now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna K Lawson, who had four points.

Bloomington North now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
