Softball Recap: Hortonville Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hortonville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Howland Tigers 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Polar Bears.

Hortonville's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hortonville will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fond du Lac at 5:00 p.m. on April 18. As for Howland, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Allegheny at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. West Allegheny's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Howland's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
