Basketball Recap: Siuslaw Comes Up Short

Siuslaw lost against Sutherlin back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Siuslaw Vikings were dealt a 50-13 defeat at the hands of the Sutherlin Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 66th).

Siuslaw dropped their record down to 2-19 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Sutherlin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Coming up, Siuslaw will challenge Coquille at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sutherlin, they will face off against Cascade Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
