Softball Recap: Keller Comes Up Short

Keller and Marcus squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Keller had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 8-7. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Marauders earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Annsley Groce made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Mackenna Jackson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Keller's loss dropped their record down to 28-9-1. As for Marcus, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Keller nor Marcus have any future games scheduled.
