Volleyball Recap: Out-of-Door Academy Takes a Loss

Out-of-Door Academy entered their contest against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Thunder fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 12, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Out-of-Door Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (107-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-13.

Alex Beasley paced Out-of-Door Academy's offense, picking up 18 kills. Beasley got some help from Emmy Coachys and her 38 assists. Ella Kwon controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Out-of-Door Academy suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 13-6. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Out-of-Door Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Seffner Christian on the 25th. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Admiral Farragut on the 25th.
