Basketball Game Preview: Murrieta Mesa Rams vs. Great Oak Wolfpack

Murrieta Mesa is 2-8 against Great Oak since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Murrieta Mesa Rams will host the Great Oak Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m.

Murrieta Mesa is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Vista Murrieta on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Murrieta Mesa had to suffer through a 78-35 loss at the hands of Vista Murrieta. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Great Oak beat Temecula Valley 77-72 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolfpack.

This is the second loss in a row for Murrieta Mesa and nudges their season record down to 8-14. As for Great Oak, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Murrieta Mesa might still be hurting after the 93-72 defeat they got from Great Oak in their previous meeting back in February of 2024.
