Recap: Homer Pelicans vs. Ringgold Redskins
It was a good run, but the Homer Pelicans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They were beaten by Ringgold 76-45. Homer has struggled against Ringgold recently, as their game on Monday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Ringgold got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jbari Adams out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Adams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 26 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Wilson, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Homer's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ringgold, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
Homer will head out on the road to take on Mansfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ringgold, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Plain Dealing at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Plain Dealing is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
