It was a good run, but Velma-Alma unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 58-41 to the Marlow Outlaws. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Blayd Harris, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 24 points and three steals for Marlow. Harris also put up a block, which washis first of the season. Another player making a difference was Parker Boyles, who posted 11 points along with five assists and five boards.

Velma-Alma's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-2. As for Marlow, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Velma-Alma will take on Alex at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marlow, they will challenge Purcell at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
