Baseball Recap: Kerens Continues Road Dominance on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Robinson, Kerens was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the West Trojans by a score of 4-1.

Krayton Ritchie was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. JJ Hightower also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Kerens' win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for West, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Coming up, Kerens will be taking part in a tournament against Riesel at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for West, they will take on Rockdale at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
