Baseball Game Preview: Episcopal Wildcats vs. Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs

Episcopal is 0-10 against Central Arkansas Christian since March of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Wildcats will head out to face off against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Episcopal was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Pangburn 5-4.

Meanwhile, while Central Arkansas Christian put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Clinton. The Mustangs blew past the Yellowjackets 12-0.

Central Arkansas Christian got a great performance from Brady McEntyre as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave McEntyre a new career-high.

At the plate, Connor Taylor and Jack Bingenheimer did most of the damage at the plate: Taylor went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double, while Bingenheimer scored three runs while going 1-for-3. Bingenheimer has become a key player for Central Arkansas Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-11 otherwise. Jason Hunt also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Episcopal's record is now 4-8. As for Central Arkansas Christian, their record now sits at 9-11.
