Rye and Pueblo Central are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Thunderbolts will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Rye is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Front Range Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. Neither they nor the Falcons could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 3-3 draw. The result kept Rye happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 8th.

Nicoline Larson and Abrianna Chianelli scored all three of Rye's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Pueblo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Pueblo Centennial. While losing is never fun, Pueblo Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Pueblo Centennial are ranked 79th).

Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. Rye's draw gives them a new season record of 4-5-2.

Everything went Rye's way against Pueblo Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Rye made off with a 5-0 victory. Will the Thunderbolts repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
