Pungo Christian Academy came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Ridgecroft, but Ethyn Beachboard wouldn't allow it. The Rams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 37-35 win over the Raiders on Tuesday for which the team can thank Beachboard, who posted 15 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marshall Ricks, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 16 boards. Ricks is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 12 games he's played. Michael Cripe was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Ridgecroft's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Pungo Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.

Ridgecroft has already played their next contest, a 41-15 win against Northeast Academy on the 22nd. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-38 victory against Halifax Academy on the 23rd.
