Basketball Recap: Avon Grove Charter Takes a Loss

Avon Grove Charter lost against Tri-State Christian back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Avon Grove Charter Wolves lost 51-31 to the Tri-State Christian Crusaders.

Tri-State Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Coward, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Swort, who posted nine points and four blocks.

Avon Grove Charter dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Tri-State Christian, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Avon Grove Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-36 defeat against Tome on the 10th. As for Tri-State Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-56 victory against Fellowship of Christian Athletes on the 10th.
