Basketball Recap: Oldham County Comes Up Short

Oldham County lost against South Oldham back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oldham County Colonels took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Oldham Dragons. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Dragons are ranked 16th).

Oldham County's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Oldham, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Oldham County has already played their next contest (against Bellevue), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Oldham wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 81-56 victory against Henry County on the 18th.
