Volleyball Game Preview: Goliad Tigers vs. Karnes City Badgers

The Goliad Tigers will head out to take on the Karnes City Badgers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Goliad has 24 straight wins, Karnes City has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Goliad got the win against Luling by a conclusive 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Goliad took every set by at least 20 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-5, 25-4.

Meanwhile, Karnes City lost 3-0 to Stockdale on Friday.

Karnes City's defeat dropped their record down to 11-19. As for Goliad, their victory bumped their record up to 31-3.

Everything went Goliad's way against Karnes City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Goliad made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
