Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Service). They put the hurt on the Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds with a sharp 32-12 victory on Wednesday. The Cougars' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Service didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nevaeh Dunlop, Karlierose Lealaisalanoa, and Tatum Poppy picked up one apiece.

Service's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bettye Davis East Anchorage, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Service is set to take on their familiar foe South Anchorage at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cougars 8.5, the Wolverines 4) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bettye Davis East Anchorage will square off against rival Dimond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
