Preview: Brushton-Moira Panthers vs. St. Lawrence Central Larries
Brushton-Moira has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the St. Lawrence Central Larries at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New York (Brushton-Moira is ranked 567th, while St. Lawrence Central is ranked 558th).
Two weeks ago, Brushton-Moira was beaten by Tupper Lake 69-27. Brushton-Moira has not had much luck with Tupper Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, St. Lawrence Central strolled past St. Regis Falls with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 66-49.
Ayden Beach was his usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 47 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Austin Mason, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds and six assists.
Brushton-Moira now has a losing record at 6-7. As for St. Lawrence Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Brushton-Moira suffered a grim 58-35 defeat to St. Lawrence Central in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Beach, who almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds.
