Basketball Recap: Mason Stewart and Xander Wilson Secure Win for Hardin Northern

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arlington, Hardin Northern was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They secured a 46-41 W over the Temple Christian Pioneers. The Polar Bears haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Leading Hardin Northern to victory were Xander Wilson and Mason Stewart. Wilson went 7 of 14 to rack up 19 points and three steals, while Stewart posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was Christian Rostorfer, who put up five points and seven boards.

Hardin Northern's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Temple Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Hardin Northern is taking a road trip to square off against Vanlue at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
