Volleyball Recap: Jaelee Cordero Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Sam Houston

John F. Kennedy lost to Sam Houston back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Rockets walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hurricanes.

John F. Kennedy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-15.

John F. Kennedy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaelee Cordero, who had five kills, three aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was Makalya Aragon, who had five kills and five digs.
