Soccer Recap: Nederland Takes a Loss

Nederland managed to slip by Rocky Mountain Lutheran the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 5-2 to the Eagles on Wednesday. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Nederland couldn't quite close it out.

Simon Schlosser and Orion Schimberg scored both of Nederland's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Nederland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Coming up, Nederland will welcome William Smith at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Nederland will be up against William Smith's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.13 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they will venture away from home to take on Front Range Baptist at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
