Volleyball Recap: Soquel Takes a Loss

Soquel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats.

Whitney found their leader in sophomore Balin Sillence-Dhamrait, who had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Sillence-Dhamrait has posted over his last ten matches. Martin Lim also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Soquel's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Whitney, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season.

Soquel will square off against Los Gatos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitney, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Granite Bay on the 29th.
