Softball Recap: Hampden Broncos vs. Oxford Hills Vikings

Hampden had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Oxford Hills Vikings 10-8. The victory was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on four straight.

Cat Facchini was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over 8.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-6 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
