Baseball Recap: Stadium Tigers vs. Kennedy Catholic Lancers
Stadium extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 4-14 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kennedy Catholic Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-7 on Monday.
Ethan West was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Brandt Juergens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.
As for Kennedy Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.
On Kennedy Catholic's side, Harvey Lieberman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. Lieberman has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Stadium will challenge Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Kennedy Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
