Football Game Preview: Dexter Bearcats vs. Kennett Indians

Dexter is 2-8 against Kennett since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bearcats will be playing at home against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dexter comes in on six and Kennett on three.

Dexter is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-9 victory over Kelly. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Hawks are ranked 249th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Kennett ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against New Madrid County Central by a score of 40-32. The game was the first time the Indians have beaten the Eagles on their field since September 28, 2018.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Kennett, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Dexter against Kennett when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-0 win. Do the Bearcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
