Baseball Preview: Eastern Eagles vs. Oak Hill Oaks

Eastern is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Oak Hill a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Eastern Eagles will welcome the Oak Hill Oaks at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Eastern put up the most runs they have all season on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over South Gallia. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Oak Hill made easy work of Western on Wednesday and carried off an 11-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Oaks in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

Blaise Barger made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That hit was his first of the season.
